Tourism Saint John is the City's official tourism promotion organization.  Along with operating three municipal visitor information centres and Barbour's General Store Museum, department staff are responsible for destination marketing and promotion.

Tourism is big business in our city and has been identified as a priority sector in Saint John’s growth strategy for many reasons.  Not only does it contribute close to 4000 jobs in the region, it contributes to the standard of living and quality of life in Greater Saint John.  Tourism contributes significantly to exciting new product development, like Harbour Passage, for the enjoyment of citizens and visitors alike.  Tourism fosters civic pride, from our award-winning Meet & Greet Committee to hosting world class events like the Canadian Country Music Awards.
